Lately, a 998 or blocked number has been calling members of local financial institutions. When they answer the call, an automated message begins, stating that their account or debit card has been compromised. It instructs them to press 1 to verify their account information. Sabine FCU will NEVER ask for your account information via phone, email, or text message. We're committed to keeping your account information safe and secure. Some consumers have reported receiving fraudulent email messages that reference ACH Summary or ACH Notification and instruct the recipient to click on several links. These emails were not sent by the Federal Reserve Banks. The Federal Reserve Banks deliver payment information to our financial institution members via our trusted channels, and do not communicate this information directly to consumers. We strongly advise that you do not click on the links contained in these types of emails and to delete them immediately.  If you receive any email of this type, please take caution and contact the credit union with any questions.

 

Regulation D limits the number of transactions on a savings account, or non-transaction account to no more than 6 transactions per month. This includes: ACH, automatic transfers from savings to checking, online banking transactions, telephone transfers, and transactions using an ATM or debit card. You can still use your ATM or debit card to make a cash withdrawal at an ATM or you can come into the lobby of the credit union to make in-person transactions.

Sabine Federal Credit Union has partnered with other local credit unions to bring you the CU PASS ATM Network. The network allows members to use their ATM or debit card at any participating credit union without a fee or surcharge. Click here for a list of participating credit unions.
