Our Story

DuPont SRW Employees Federal Credit Union was chartered in October 1948 to serve the employees of the DuPont SRW plant in Orange, TX.

In 2006, we changed our name to Sabine Federal Credit Union and adopted a community charter so we could extend our products and services to people who live, work, worship, or attend school in Orange County.

In 2010, we continued to expand our field of membership to serve not only Orange but Jefferson and Hardin counties. We didn’t stop there, we now proudly serve Jasper, Newton, and Tyler counties. As we’ve grown, we’ve only reinforced our commitment to the betterment of every county and community we serve.

Sabine is deeply rooted in the neighborhoods we serve. We regularly give back to local charities that better the community and lift up our neighbors in need. With over $115,000 donated annually to more than sixty organizations and schools, we want members to take pride in banking at a credit union that lives out its mission everyday.
